All international student studying at Sogang University must obtain a visa that allows study before the start of the semester. Please make sure to check with the immigration office to confirm whether you can change your visa status within Korea.

Students who wish to pursue degree after completing language course must apply for a Study(D-2) visa before the start of the semester.

• 1 color photo (3.5cm*4.5cm, taken within the last 6 months)
• Certificate of Admission
• Tuition Payment Certificate
• Certificate of bank balance (student’s own account in a Korean bank with a balance of more than KRW 10,000,000)
• only applicable to students from the following 25 countries
  Ghana, Nigeria, Nepal, Myanmar, Bangladesh, Vietnam, Mongolia, Sri Lanka, Uzbekistan, Ukraine, Iran, Egypt, India, Indonesia, China, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Thailand, Pakistan, Peru, Philippines, Guinea, Mali, Ethiopia, Uganda, Cameroon
• Academic Transcript(including the attendance rate)
• Certificate of latest education
• Visa change fee KRW 100,000 and Residence Card fee 30,000

Students who wish to reside in Korea after graduation and engage in professional job search activities or internships with domestic companies or organizations can change their visa to Job-seeking (D-10) visa.
Permission is granted for up to 2 years, with each period lasting up to 6 months.
